Arlington Chiropractic Extremely Effective for Problems in the Sacroiliac Joint
We help a good number of patients with back issues in our Arlington office, and Jefferson Spine & Injury Center finds that quite a few cases of back discomfort stem from the sacroiliac (SI) joint. Investigation shows that roughly one quarter of all back pain starts out in the SI joint, and now fresh research ratifies what we see in our clinic: chiropractic is an effective method for treating this issue.
Research Proves Chiropractic Treatment Can Help Increase Movement in the SI Joint
In the study published in the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, thirty-two women who suffered from sacroiliac joint dysfunction were split into two groups and asked to take part in one of two treatment methods. one group was given a chiropractic adjustment only at the sacroiliac joint, and the second group was given an adjustment to the sacroiliac joint and the lumbar spine.
Scientists found greater improvements in both pain and movement immediately following treatment, two days later, and 30 days after for the group who had been given high-velocity low-amplitude manipulation to both the sacroiliac joint and the lumbar spine. This asserts that chiropractic treatment applied to these two areas offers both short term and continuing results for sacroiliac joint pain sufferers even after just one treatment round.
Therefore, if you are suffering with sacroiliac joint issues, or live with back and leg issues and would like to find out whether your sacroiliac joint is the cause, a consultation at our Arlington office may be the first and best step towards recovery.
